PASSAGES

An evening-length show featuring Juilliard musicians and actors, conceived in collaboration with Derek Wang. Fusing nature-inspired music by Robert Schumann, Charles Ives, and George Crumb with original dramatic text written for the occasion, the show progresses through a series of idiosyncratic voices. Starting with domestic, inanimate objects, then delving into forests and humans, and ultimately careening towards the ocean, Passages depicts a vast, ruminative landscape in which each figure is reckoning with its own capacity for pettiness, greatness, and grace.
